Here’s a look at where I turn when I need that spark of magic, and how those influences translate into the dreamy, vintage aesthetic of Once Upon An October.

Old Books & Vintage Magazines
The faded covers, ornate typography, and poetic language of vintage books and bridal magazines are one of my first stops. I love the way they romanticize the ordinary and feel like portals into another time.

Antique Shops & Flea Markets
There’s something about holding a frayed love letter or a stack of mismatched postcards that sparks instant creativity. These places are full of texture, story, and soul—and that’s exactly what I want my designs to feel like.

Dreamy Films & Period Dramas
Think Marie Antoinette, Pride & Prejudice, Great Expectations—films where the visuals speak louder than words. The soft lighting, rich details, and intentional color palettes always find their way into my work.

Nature, but Romanticized
Wildflower fields, foggy mornings, pressed botanicals, overcast skies—nature filtered through a storybook lens is one of my biggest muses. It’s less about accuracy and more about feeling.

Personal Nostalgia
Sometimes it’s the ribbon my mom used to tie her letters. Or the way my grandmother set a table. Memory is a powerful tool in design, and I try to let it guide me when I’m creating something meant to feel meaningful.
